Broad bean questions
« on: October 17, 2008, 21:22 »
I have just planted Broad Bean seeds a couple of days ago. Now I am wondering, should I cover them? If so, should I use a cloche or cover them with fleece?

Sorry if it is a daft question, it's just that I don't know as I'm new to growing ANYTHING never mind veg...

Thanks in advance

All I do is to give protection from the wind and cover when hard frosts are forcast, they are pretty hardy but hate the wind.

Ah ok. I should be ok then as they are in a sheltered spot and we don't get many frosts here.

Thank you.  :D

That's good really, 'cos I haven't actually got anything to cover them with.

You both have saved me from a mad dash to the garden centre tomorrow!

Thank you!
