Broad bean questions

I have just planted Broad Bean seeds a couple of days ago. Now I am wondering, should I cover them? If so, should I use a cloche or cover them with fleece?

Sorry if it is a daft question, it's just that I don't know as I'm new to growing ANYTHING never mind veg... :oops:

All I do is to give protection from the wind and cover when hard frosts are forcast, they are pretty hardy but hate the wind.

Ah ok. I should be ok then as they are in a sheltered spot and we don't get many frosts here.

Yep and of course they are suitable for autumn sowing.

Us soft southerners don't bother to cover the autumn sown broad beans at all :roll:

That's good really, 'cos I haven't actually got anything to cover them with.

You both have saved me from a mad dash to the garden centre tomorrow!

Not like our hard northern climate eh! 2 feet of snow this morning I had to cycle through :roll:
