Moulting - how to recognise
« on: September 23, 2008, 12:34 »
probably an obvious question! How do i recognise when my chooks are approaching a moult? Do they replace all feathers, or just large/small?

Im dealing with a mite problem at the moment so want to be sure i can tell listlessness due to mites from that due to moulting

Moulting - how to recognise
My chooks aren't particularly listless they just start losing feathers. Back of neck, back, base of tail, tops of wings. They also don't lay eggies when they are moulting. Hope this helps ZTR.
Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most!!
