Was speaking to someone on the allotments today who said his whole crop had been wiped out by potatoe blight, i asked him if he had reported it and he replyed no, its a waste of time. what is the forums advice? should i inform the council or someone at the defra? this bloke doesnt seem to care as "hes" moving on next year.

The British Potato Council would be more interested than DEFRA, but how much more is a matter for conjecture, as they have their own scouts "in the field", so to speak.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

 Hi      I had blight on my spuds also, all i did is cut the tops off and remove them from the plot and burn. The potatoes in the ground was still ok. Best if you catch it early.    Michael D
