I know this should be easy!!

Have strawberry plants onder weed supressant fabric.  Plants have finished fruiting and are sending our runners.

do I cut them off and plant them, or should the root themselves in soil and I dig them up when they are established.  If the latter I may have to remove my weed supressant - argggh!

Peg 'em down into plant pots, chop them off when rooted - easy!
