Has everybody else been experiencing this or is it something local or else?

I;ve gotto wash me mouth out for saying it and never thought it ever comes to this but I'm getting sick of strawberries this year.

We have had a lot of very big strawberries off just 6 plants and there are still more to come. It's not the strawberries that are the problem it is the compulsory cream to go with them.

We have multiple pick your own places here, most of the growers are now growing on tables out of growbags in tunnels, it makes them easy to pick and if it floods they ar eless likely to lose there crop.

The going rate seems to be about £5 for one of the very large baskets...

Haven't had a single strawberry this year!!!!!  Picking loads of raspberries though (which I mulched well in the spring) - am freezing like mad.
Try to be organic but will use black fly killer and a few slug pellets if desperate.
