can any body please help
                                      we  moved into a new house, one year ago and are lucky enough to have 6 large apple trees in the back garden but they seem to have some problems ,eg; brown/red spot's on a lot of the leaves  and a lot of the bark  is covered in a green powdery  form of algae /fungus. we had the trees pruned thinking this might help but to no avail the same as happened this summer, can any body point me in the right direction as to a form of treatment  or cure .

The trunk hopefully is just lichen, nothing to worry about.

The spots could a rather great number of things, need a photo of all.

thanks for that gobs have taken some photo's but can't suss out how to upload at the minute ,have done a search for lichen and it does look like what we have on our tree's, so many different strains

Sounds like Apple Scab, but as gobs said it could be quit a few diseases.
