You can get coxoid from any pet store, including garden centre ones.

They sell it for all birds; pidgeon, cage birds etc.

I bought mine from a pet store about 3 years ago.

You can buy it on-line

but the vet's would be quickest for you !

daz I am so sorry to hear about your chick.
I know you had them outside today, keep them all in  and off ground until you have been able to get hold of coxoid.
Where roughly are you?
Countrywide sell it and they have lots of stores, other pet stores do too.
Good luck.

I brought mine from ebay! Pay a tad extra fior next day delivery and it still worked out £10 cheaper than Vets but if they're already dying from it £10 extra is a small price to pay! ! !

Great stuff tho' brought my chicken licken back from the brink!

HTH x x x
1 x hubby
2 x daughters
3 x chickens
1 x bunny
6 x african snails  . . . . . and counting.

Whereabouts are you Daz?  I bought some from Stamford animal and Pet Supplies, they are in Stamford and Spalding, but I never used it as I use the Farmgate Feed and they say it already has an anti coccidial in the feed and you shouldn't use anything else as one cancels out the other.

Sorry to hear about your chook.  Sure it was coccidiosis though?

Hi
I recently lost two chicks to cocci, and it hits them very quickly.  I picked up 4 day olds and had lost 2 within 3 days.  I bought coxoid off the internet (from ebay) and it took a week to arrive.     Luckily I made sure in mean time that the chick crumbs the remaining chicks and mums were eating did contain a coccidiostat, This is usually labelled as containing ACS.  It meant me buying another bag of chick crumb but I believe it saved the other chicks.
Hope you don't have any more fatalities.
