Eggs in compost

When I turned over the compost in one of my bins yesterday I noticed a lot of small cream coloured eggs, images attached. (Apologies for the quality, but you'll get the general idea!) Can anyone identify them and are they likely to be a problem in the future? I did notice there was an ants nest in there but the eggs they were moving around were duller in colour and more oval in shape.

I am sure someone will help you with your "egg in compost" question... I always thought those were slug eggs! Not the WISEST gardener    so don't take that as definite.

I'd go for slugs or possibly snails too.

That would seem to make sense are there were both slugs and snails in the compost. Is this normal?

Yes if your compost heaps not very hot then there's no reason not to find them in there,They are after all part of nature recycling team. I sometimes chuck them in to my darlek bin if I'm feeling generous, if not the hens get 'em  :D
