I'm fed up

Council not very happy about chooks at home Ok with 'em on the lottie but I don't really want them on the lottie sort of defeats the object .

Good job I've not bought owt.

Is there anything in your agreement or any byelaws banning them ?

I thought they had to have specific wording to prevent you from keeping them.

Best not tell em!  You might know they'd find some just impediment. Ask to see said byelaw. If they can't show it you then get your chooks

:D  :tongue2: Hi, we have just had our Omlet cube delivered (on Wednesday!), the man built it up in about an hour and our chickens love it! It doesn't leak, it has no large gaps apart from the ventilation - not too big. We have 5 in it as i HAD to buy 3 new ones to keep them company.

As they are going to range when we are at home we didn't get the larger run extension but I think it may have been better too - although OH is going to build them something - UNHEARD of!!!

I'm with Aunt Sally on this one - EGLU's / CUBE's are great.

Hello blugaloo do you mind my asking if the eglu came in the time quoted?  We have ordered one and expect it at the end of May ... as they are so busy.... the lady said it may be before then, so just wondered how quick you had yours, was it earlier than expected.... hope that question makes sense!

If you do get chucks, look out for Sultans.  They are lovely, rare and by keeping some you'll help maintain the breed.  Silkies are lovely too and I want a Poland

 Violet - I ordered at beginning of April and they phoned me the day after I placed my order and gave me a delivery date of 24th. They phoned me the day before to confirm the time of the visit (a 2 hour slot), the job was completed within an hour - OH was VERY impressed.

The girls and boy have now settled in nicely and take them selves to bed. The first night I put a cardboard box in the run to help them get onto the ladder as I was worried the smaller two wouldn't be able to make it - I had to take it out as my original two decided to try and sleep in it - I had to put them in the coop! :!:

Can't wait until I can let them out to range - Omlet recommend that you don't let them out of the run for 5 days. I suppose I will have to clip their wings then as a couple of them are very good fliers (for chickens).
