« on: April 04, 2008, 15:30 »
hello everyone ive been busy so thought i would share it with you, 1st there,s the potatoes planted in containers i still need to fill again and move outside( thanks for the tip john )[/IMG]                                                                                                                    [/IMG]                                                                                                           then the garden got my 2nd early  ( wilja )  and my maincrop ( king edward )  into the garden think ive got about 30 rows of 8 spuds                                                                                                               [/IMG]                                                                                                            and a chance to thank cynara once more for the rhubarb here it is in the corner                                                                                                          [/IMG]                                                                                                         then we can see the runner beans i have planted more cause i think that i was a little premature sowing these but who knows bees might come early and warmer weather lol                                                                                                                 [/IMG]                                                                                                                                                                                                                          you can probably see the little weeds in the compost they pull out easy enough but the old horse muck i had a while ago  must be full of seeds and i used half and half  so its my fault but hopefully will be a benefit to the garden                                                                                                                  [/IMG]                                                                                                        more in the greenhouse will be glad when i can move them out anyway thats enough of me thanks for looking comments welcome , even if its munty taking the micky bye all

Interesting containers there, Phil. What were they originally from?

Looks like you've had better gardening weather than most.

good morning trillium the containers came from a house that i had been painting the couple who own it run a import export buisness for organic cut flowers . The flowers arrive in these containers from other countries but they wont take them back every trip so i asked for some and was told to help myself which i did . They are deeper than the ones you can buy and of course stack away after  cheers for asking  (  phil  )

morning wildone  yes what you asked about they are weeds i had a delivery a while ago of some very old horse manure and allthough i seived the stuff and took every weed and root out the stuff must have been full of seeds they pull out easy though, but im dreading when the weather gets warmer and the garden starts sprouting them i dug and rotavated a large quantity into the main garden so will be flat out supressing weeds .Still hopefully wont hinder me to  much and should improve the soil thanks  (  phil  )
