hello everyone

first time posting on the vegetable bit, we have chickens as well so spend alot of time over the other side, anyway hubby has made a veggie plot and we have some seed potatoes maris piper and charlottes,  was wondering when is the best time to plant them and we have also heard that they need manure to grow in or can we just put them into the soil

any suggestions and tips would be great as we are new to this

thanks
