Any suggestions for good places to buy seed potatoes, onion bulbs and seeds for decent quality at reasonable prices? I'm in southeast London (Woolwich/Greenwich) but new to the area and somewhat clueless about where to get things. Love internet shopping, but don't feel like waiting weeks and weeks for potatoes and onion sets...

I think you're a bit late for mail order onions and spuds as they want to be planted pretty sharpish.

Your best bet would be a decent garden centre now I'm afraid.

Our local Wilkinsons still had plenty of all of these itmes in a few days ago, this is the location of your nearest stores if it helps, just bang in your postcode, seems if I try & put the full search in, it loses the postcode.

Like others have said, Local Garden centres DIY or Wilkos are best now.
It not to late to get planting though. My Main-crop spuds are not in yet, although my Rocket Earlie's are. My Onion sets went in last Sunday so still time for you if you get a move on.

Poundland are still stocking Arran Pilot, Maris Piper & Desiree seed potatoes, and Stuttgarter onion sets among other things, if you have one locally?
