All's well in August.
« on: August 07, 2020, 11:08 »
After an anxious, beginners start to the season, I think I can say that i'm satisfied just now. No real failures at least, not even the climbing frenchies, which are coming thick and fast, and in my opinion are better than runners. So with a wee bit of pride I post a few photo's for anyone interested. If the weather stays reasonable until October, maybe even the Parsnip will have a developed root.

Hi. They look great and well done you! I don't blame you in the least for feeling some sense of pride especially as you're a beginner. You've got green fingers methinks!  :)
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

I think I have been bitten by the gardening bug, for 50 years of my life I found the whole story one big yawn, and even strongly declared to my father that I would never be able to get into it. But here I am, fascinated by the whole shebang, I even enjoy the messy stuff, (just got back from a smallholding after bagging up a good load of cow manure, and piling it in the back of my van). I can now understand how you folks who really know the ins and outs, go for the challenging side of growing, as well as the easy stuff like I have this year.

Looking really good and very impressed by your tomato house!  Bet those tomatoes taste really fine  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
