Apache & Stemster Potatoes
« on: April 05, 2019, 11:23 »
my gardening friends have told me there are  couple of potato varieties that have been given a good rite up for both cooking and growing  they are apache and stemster although stemster has come out on top for flavour for both roasting and boiling apache tends to go mushy if boiled to long I'm told

i havent personally grew these varieties but i would be interested if anyone has grew them and how you rate the two varieties as I'm tempted to grow some next year because i already have enough potato seed for this year possibly to many but i couldn't   resist getting some more seed potatoes when we went down our local garden centre they where giving seed potatoes away for free when i bagged up 2k of record seed my other half said that's enough seed potatoes free or not

when we went back a couple of days later they had all gone i like the variety Record there a good roaster and chip spud and they taste even better when there free  :D :D
