Onions and chickweed.

What is it that attracts chickweed to onions? Every year I spend hours pulling the darn stuff out and back it comes again. I rarely notice it on my other beds.

I think it's any crop that doesn't spread a lot of shade, it can grow in between!

I think chickweed can be a good thing in hot dry spells as it holds the moisture in the soil .

Just dig it in as green manure before sowing and after harvest.

One of the better weeds especially if you have hens !
