Anyone experienced yellow fleck virus on their parsnips before?  Not finding much on the inter web apart from it causes necrosis in the core.  Any real life experience?

It is quite common to see parsnip plants with yellow blotches, which are presumably due to yellow speck virus. It is spread by aphids usually from cow parsley, feeding on the cow parsley and then infecting parsnips as they feed on them. Little you can do about it except rub off or spray when aphids are seen, but that is probably too late.

From my experience these plants never thrive. They will produce a root but not as good as it should be.
