Storing Enviromesh

Where and you keep yours when not in use.

I've taken 2 large strips (12x16) off which are rather dirty. Ideally I'd like to clean them and put them away but how.

Mine goes in the washing machine and then after a line dry, it's rolled up and stored in a big placcy bag  :)

I thought I remembered you saying that MoS ... silly question - what temperature do you wash it at?

40C delicate wash  ;)

It doesn't come out brilliant white, as new, but a lot better than when it went in  :D

Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Do what to it?  ::)

I've got the smaller bit in the machine but I don't think I'll get the larger one  in :( I wanted it clean to put it away for a while I might have to settle for hosing it down on the line.

It's what I did to a shirt last Friday to wear to a wedding on Saturday - it involves tying yourself in knots trying to safely erect the ironing board at something approximating to the right height, pouring water all over the floor rather than inside the iron, carefully cleaning both the ironing board and iron because you haven't used either for about 2 years and don't want to mess the shirt up, and finally replacing the many, but negligible, creases in the shirt with half a dozen deep ravines of spectacular Grand Canyon-like proportions!

+ +

I've washed my enviromesh in the bath and in the washing machine - it will never look brand new again but I did find that some bleach helped get rid of the algae which had grown around the edges and proved resistant to normal washing.

I would take mine to the laundrette because the machines are bigger. it's then folded carefully and the bag it's in is hung from the shed rafters.

That's the dream anyway. Currently it's lurking in a compost bag in the back corner of the shed, still filthy.

I put mine through the washing machine on a warm wash and it came out exactly the same as it went in! Not going to bother again.

You know that wouldn't be ½ as funny of it wasn't so very true

The bit I did yesterday was the same, I'll try with the really small bit currently over the garlic but it looks like it will be going away all mucky. Still deciding on rolling it or folding it both are no fun with only 1 pair of hands.

I fold it with the help of some bricks to weight down one end, and then tuck the other end in under them, then stretch it out and weight down the fold where the middle is, and so on. It takes ages, but the point comes where I can grab it quick and roll it, before putting it in the proverbial placcy bag ala MoS.

You can always launder it with stain remover if the discoloured parts offend

Just dry mine on the line, then roll up, and stuff in a bin bag.
