Anyone use these or have built anything similar from recycled stuff......they get brilliant reviews but a bit pricey

Hi P, nearly finished my second one, dead easy to make. I was lucky because a builder friend dropped off a load of wood offcuts (wood stove) and with it came a lot of old fencing planks, I cut one and found they are full of creosote so no good for the stove but they make great planters, mine are 5ft x 6"x1" with 6"x2" ends and screwed together, a lath along each long length inside to hold the floor and then line with polythene, a water test overnight to prove the polythene and then a black plastic cover over the top, an X was cut at each station and then builders buckets were prepped for use. Wickes had a sale on months ago, buckets @99p so I bought 20, each was drilled 3" with a hole saw and then a 3" plant pot to fit the hole, lined with a strip of cotton (jeans) and filled with compost, I will try and post a pic for you, cheers Dave
Today i will be mainly wearing no trousers
