Hi guys in my local B and Q they are selling off last seasons onion sets for 50p a bag and I wondered if it is possible and worth buying some for next year or can they be planted now and left over winter?

If you plant them now, you should get some onions for eating green (like a leek) but the first really cold spell would probably kill them.

They won't keep til next year
