Wish I was allowed to keep some but it's a no go with renting.

Even reading the full article I can't understand why the line between solvency and bankrup is so fine. ok I know % of income wise we spend very little on our food these days. I never keep a pet unless I can afford its food and vet bills, I can't believe someone would be so unethical to not be prepared for this.

I don't buy supermarket eggs because I hate the idea of chickens being stuck inside a barn, I didn't realise it was the same for ducks, I thought they needed more space or they got sick.

Article indicates duck are free range. As they would need the safety of a barn at night presumably this was when they were photographed. I only wish the line between solvency and bankruptcy was not so fine. All farmers face this as do most businesses. :(
