what is the secret to realy good pea crops ? mine didnt do to good last year, we have Kelvedon wonder and early onward to try this year

I don't think there a secret ,don't think theres any secret to growing anything I think we just stress ourselves and dabble we things too much  :Dwe we confuse ourselves and the seeds lol

Nothing.

They like soil with a lot of humus, so your homemade compost is good for them. If your soil is a bit acidic, then a bit of lime helps.

As per the previous post, don't faff about and poke at them, just leave them to do their thing.
