In the last couple of days they don't usually come off the nest as that is when the humidity needs to be higher for hatching successfully.  I tend to put a small dish with chick crumb and a drinker within reach of the broody for the last few days. 

I have read of hens being off the nest when chicks have hatched so I would not give up just yet.
