I've got some spring cabbage in modules which are about 2" high now and are already getting munched. I had a close look and found a very small (miniscule) green caterpiller. Further inspection found some minute oval egg cases laid on the underside of the leaves. I've removed them by hand, but do they need a spray with anything, and what are they?

Small cabbage white, or cabbage moth

small cabbage white are pale green and covered in short, velvet-like hairs. Cabbage moth caterpillars are yellowish green or brownish green, with no obvious hairs on their bodies.

Remove all, and then keep covered!  No point in just making them comfy under the netting (and yes, I've learned this the hard way this year ...  )
