Both my Runners and French climbers were slow to get going but I am getting a daily boiling now but am having to mix both sorts of beans.

The birds keep nibbling the flowers. 3 runners so far, that's all, but they do now at least look as if they might do something. And the borlottis are no better, but then I didn't read the packet properly and I now find they're dwarf borlottis, not what I wanted at all. I'm left with the first flush but am having to wait for the beans to swell inside, but then that seems to be stopping any desire to throw out some more flowers. Tried them as runner beans and didn't like them.
The only beans that have come up trumps are my French dwarf purple queen. I've had a quite a few meals out of them from very little space or effort, and they continue to flourish, and flower. I recommend them to those with little space.

black fly check for ants milking them and use jam above them on the leaves.

Did you use horse manure or any type of manure in your raised bed? There is a substance which will affect beans/tomatoes.
Also mulch around base water well .
Don't know anyone which has used munty and have always used crossed sticks. Alternate use is 2 metal poles and a cane along top with upright canes.
