Garbage Enzyme
« on: May 28, 2013, 23:47 »
Just heard about the use of garbage enzyme can greatly improve soil, following are findings on searching Internet,

How to make garbage enzyme :

1) 3 kg Kitchen Waste (Left-over fruits or fruit peels, and vegetables.)
2) 1 kg Black/Brown Sugar (not white sugar)
3) 10 litres Water

Tight the seal/cover, release gas every 3 days during the first month. the liquid will become clear brown and smell orange in three month when it become ready. (if it is black/dark, then it failed. but you can add  more sugar to continue)

use it as a natural fertilizer: diluted garbage enzyme 500-1000 times, use to water the plants, flowers, trees. Makes very good fertilizer and help the plants to grow. Water the empty land for 3 consecutive months to change the soil to good quality.

Does anyone had experience on this? sounds very interesting and it can also be used in many other ways...

"- as a household cleaning liquid
- to remove foul odours, molds and grime in the kitchen and toilet
- as an anti-bacterial and anti-viral agent
- to drive away insects
- to clean carpets and remove ticks
- for laundry washing and ironing
- for mopping floors
- for cleaning cars "

I have cut some carrots etc and started with a coca-cola bottle.

Some of us just make compost but I wouldn't recommend that for cleaning your car or the kitchen floor.

Don't knock it til you've tried it.  It's liquid fertiliser but I'd rather put it on the garden or plot than waste it on cleaning  :)

I think I've had home-brew from "friends" that must have been made this way.
Sometimes my plants grow despite, not because of, what I do to them.

With all the materials used, I don't think there is a need for licensing it, does home brew wine need to be licensed?

Enzyme tablets from Holland & Barrett help people digest food, Garbage Enzyme helps soil digest organic matters.

I know if you immerse rusty metal in molasses for a few weeks it eats the rust away.

It sounds similar to the run off from a bokashi composter.

That is what I thought on reading this.
