Black Krim Toms
« on: May 10, 2013, 12:34 »
I planted thre seeds, two of which germinated, approx 1month ago. The two plants look nothing like each other so I am assuming that one is from an eroneous seed.

One looks very different to normal toms and has almost potato like leaves. The other looks much more conventional. I just wondered if anyone has any experience with Black Krim and knows whether their foliage is a little unusual or is it more conventional. I am quite intrigued to see what fruit the other one bears.

Black Krim is a potato leaf variety.  It's possible the other is a rogue from something else but it must still be disappointing when out of 3 seeds, only 1 is the variety you had sown.

Black Krim is a potato leaf variety.

Mine aren't!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

It seems (from a quick Google) that Black Krim has several strains and  can be either ordinary or potato leaf

As DD knows, Black Krim seem to differ, and the fruit also looks totally ugly on one plant, while nice and uniform on another!

The colouring inside differs too, some look terrible, and need cooking pretty damn quick, but others look fantastic on a plate!
