inca berries - easy to grow?
« on: May 30, 2013, 22:18 »
I listened to James Wong at edible garden show and bought some of the inca berry seeds from his surgeon's seed range.

Has anybody had any success growing these plants from seeds?

Oh yes we did try to grow them years ago and failed. Someone told us to put them in the tunnel and they didn't seem to like it at all. Mind you I didn't call them inca berries, are they known by another name

I bought my seeds from premier seeds at a sensible price. They were slow to start but are now doing nicely in the cold frame. I hope to put them out in a couple of weeks. I have not grown them before.

Thanks to James Wong I bought a goji berry bush!

It is in a container and is growing well but no sign of any berries!

I bought some of James Wong's Inca Berry seeds and have tried 2 sowings of them in the Poly Tunnel and have had no success.
Another plot holder kindly gave me 2 plants that he had spare (not James Wong ones) and I have planted them out earlier. Am not too sure how big they grow, they look a bit like a dahlia. Have put them near my fruit bushes, am just hoping they've got enough room.
