Courgettes/Squash
« on: May 03, 2010, 21:18 »
Would I get away with sowing:

Runners & Dwarf beans
Courgettes
Squash
Pumpkins

in a plastic greenhouse really feel I should be getting these started but I've no room inside with Toms/Peppers/Aubergines/Celeriac/Herbs all in my window sills, I have started to harden the Toms outside and the Peppers and Aubergines the plastic greenhouse in the day so once this cold spell is over fingers crossed I may get them out for good - just feel I'm falling behind

Thanks both off to treat myself to a new plastic greenhouse tomorrow (hopefully Wilkos still got them for £30!) and will be my little job tomorrow night

Thanks will watch it I tend to have the Peppers and Aubergines in there in the day so I open it up I will keep them up the top but should be coolish (or positively cold if it continues like today!)

Thanks again

I find I am having to really tie the sides back during the day and zip it up tight at night!

But it's amazing how much value you can get out of a plastic greenhouse.  I've got loads of stuff in mine, waiting to go out!

Have fun...

My courgettes and Squashes are in the middle of germinating at the moment. As soon as they show through they go in one of these plastic greenhouses.

These plastic greenhouses are very good but you do have to buy a new plastic cover ever yr as they go hard and brittle and crack. But the wilkos one only about £7 so i can live with that.
I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.
