Holes in spuds
« on: October 24, 2010, 19:26 »
Evening all, 80% of my spuds had matchstick size diameter holes in them. I know the usual suspects are wireworms but this was on ground that has been well cultivated for 30 years by the former tenant of my plot. I thought wireworms lived on grassland, so could any other pest have caused these holes.

There are underground slugs which may be responsible?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
