Mine are staying at our local nursery for as long as possible - easier to store that way. In a week  or two I'll wander down to see what's in.... usually tons!

I prefer to buy them (loose) early and store them myself. Otherwise my preferred nursery stores them too warm and they go chitty mad. Just bought some King Edwards today and they're in their little egg box nests in the porch.

Still waiting for mine - wish I'd gone to JBA instead of succumbing to another supplier  :(

It's still early in the season, don't worry  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

JBA won't send them while it's this cold - they'd freeze in the vans

That didn’t stop T&M who sent them out in the middle of the freezing weather. I think that they are going to be OK but it was definitely more by good luck than good guidance!

DT brown delivery this morning - i went straight out at the doorbell and the delivery man had scarpered..... so mumbling a few grumpies i went on the hunt for him....

found him popping them in the shed, the label said live plants and he had guessed from the weight that they were seed pots and didnt want them to ''go mushy on the cold pavement'' :D

very nice delivery man  :)

so im chitting arran pilot , sante and duke of york. Nothing very exciting since its my first real season  ::)

Of course it'll be exciting - it's your first season!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

My seed spuds arrived from JBA a few days ago. There were only 20 tubers in the 2.5k bag of Charlotte (should average 30). The 20 tubers were huge. I emailed my  disappointment to JBA and they sent another 10 tubers. Good service.

Bit annoyed -got mine from Marshalls - 4 sorts - three ok - but got note about Picasso saying it was difficult harvest conditions etc - a few of the tubers were already brown and rotting - not the best quality - I know it was very wet end of last year - but if the quality is not there - surely they should not sell them at full price ? I am all for supporting the British Farmer - but this should have mentioned during the ordering process in my opinion...

Mine were all there, one lot replaced, but happy with the replacement. Good buy all said, but the lack of communication was annoying. That said, the price was great, but I did order back in September ::)

Got mine from Mr Fothergills today - after I emailed them at the weekend to ask when they were coming.

A little later than expeceted but I've got loads more than I expected!! going to have pots of spuds everywhere! Might conduct a growing experiment of where they like best!! :D

Got mine from the local nurseries yesterday - (my outing!).

Bought loads of different varieties. Pick-n-mix job  ;) as I wanted to try out some new ones so chose just a few of several types. Fortunately I labelled the bags so I should might know which is which when I plant them.

Spent just under a tenner for three carrier-bags loaded.

When I get the time I'll list the varieties which included pink fur apples as my wife likes the nutty taste.  ::)
