I decided to give my indoor chilli seedlings a good soak last night as they were quite dry from the hot sun so I took them out on the patio and stood them in a tray of water to draw it up into the pots while the air was warm.

Of course - I forgot they were out there and they've had a night on the tiles.

I suppose the next few days will tell whether I won't be growing my own chillies this year.

Mind you, my late step dad cured me of coming home at all hours by locking up and going to bed one night - didn't do me any harm!

Am leaving all out at nights. Asked my friend to bring them in if frost predicted. I think they should be alright in cornwall.

They are a lot tougher than you think, they should be ok.
In most countries that are native and very hot during the day, the temps at night can fall pretty low, close to freezing.
