My fella is (was) very anti sprouts until I did them with cream and bacon last year.  Just put them on the table, didn't make any effort to get him to eat them.  Turned my back for a few minutes, and he was happily troughing them

Lidl are selling them on the stem, btw.  Mine are very small, but there's five plants' worth, so should be plenty.  I like the tops better, anyway!

i used to work with a fella who likes em with mashed on toast!!! :?

i had some off me plants last week, picked and eaten within half an hour, smashing! :D

I was challenged at work by one lad to eat a raw sprout   (he had a bag of em from another chaps organic box), but he only offered 10p prize money so i turned him down, i'd have done it for a quid :D

My sprouts are quite small, but I've saved the largest for Christmas, and the smallest ones the chooks have been eating.  plus the tops and any other greenery I can get, they love it all.  OH likes his greens boiled to soft, but I like mine with a bit of crunch.  Sometimes i just can't be bothered though to take mine out the saucepan first, but this year i'm going to try them with bacon and a little onion like they mentioned on the TV.

One of my granddaughter's is coming up with her little friend at the end of hte month for a few days, or rather we are bringing her up when we go down to Kent and Essex to deliver the presents.  She loves sprouts, so if I run out, we'll have to go down the farm shop and get some more on the stems.

I planted 2 purple brussels for her in the summer, but keep forgetting to ask my daughter how they did.  When I saw them in August, I asked and my daughter said the plants are good but there are no sprouts on them.  What not at all I asked?  no she said anyway, I showed her mine and she said, oh are they sprouts?  I didn't realise they grew up the sides, I was looking in the middle of the leaves!!!!!! lol

thats correct anne you want a bit of air around them, when there small seedlings/plants its quite hard to judge sometimes how far to space them, that goes for everything though.
tip of the day is
always read what it says on the packet  :D and not like i do and just read the 1st line and ignore the rest
