Broody again
« on: June 05, 2008, 22:46 »
I have two broody hens again (out of 3)  its annoying because they will stop laying and i have to constantly get them out of the hen house and lock them out if I don't want them stuck in all day.  I,ve done the bottom dunking and even tried popping ice (in a plastic bay and then cloth bag) under them but notihing works.  today i tried putting them in a run so that they couldn't get in the house, but she was like  polor bear at a zoo all day , going up and down the fence wanting to get out.  If i leave them to work it out themselves will they give up on it and how long will it take?
