I have just been given five tubers ... all are shooting ...

Now the thing is I have never eaten them, but my husband dislikes them they make him ***t   :shock:

... so I was wondering what to do with them!  :roll:  :lol: ... eat them, grow them or compost them!!  :lol:

... if the former ... how !! ?? ... best recipe suggestion please  :D

we scrub ours, cut in half length ways, brush with a little oil, sprinkle with a little salt and roast with the spuds.  :wink:

if you want to eat them .go to an indian food supplier and ask for some asafoetida this will stop the farts no worries .half teaspoon or a goooood pinch wil sort the windypops out :wink:

Dont put them on your compost heap - we only put the peel in ours and then when we spread thecompost over the garden we had them coming up everywhere!!

Will that work on my brussels? I got some of that stuff for a recipe once and not used it since. There's not much to eat on my plot at the moment except brussels and parsnips. My family is getting sick of them both but at least parsnips don't make you windy!

Funny these dont make me botty burp, its them brussels that do it for me. I mash them chokes with tats and celeriac. makes a tasty mash.
