Swmbo has been growing cos lettuce in greenhouse ,they are coming on nicely but some of the middle leaves are going brownish/yellow. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm no expert jarigo, but I don't think they should be growing in the greenhouse now? I expect it's too hot & humid for them.

Thanks Iwantanallotment I am sure you are right but thought if swmbo put them in the greenhouse it would stop slugs eating them all.

They should be outdoors.

There is a disease of lettuce like that, can't remember its name something like heart blight or burn or similar, you can get resistant varieties, just as with tip burn, read a good catalogue carefully.

Remove those plants, I don't think you can do anything about them.

Re-sow somewhere shady outdoors.

I only grow lettuce in the greenhouse very early season. Gets way too hot for them.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've planted lettuces in the greenhouse between every plant and they are very good...in fact ate our first one yesterday.....so now I'm  :?  :?
