remember to only clip one wing and then after they moult clip the opposite wing if you still feel a need to do so.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Our's used to huddle in the nest boxes at night, OH was cleaning them out at 5am so the eggs didn't get dirty, but they have sorted themselves now.

They seem to be quite secure in the garden, but we have six foot fences all around. I'm sure the black rock, at least, could easily fly out, she is more athletic than the other two, but we don't leave them in the garden when we are out just in case. We did think of clipping wings originally, but unless they escape we'll not bother.

I think she flew because they thought bed was the top of the coop. They haven't done it again so I'm hopeful  that I won't have to clip them. I knew about only doing one wing but not about doing the other one after the moult, so thankyou for that Joyful.
They don't seem to want to mooch about on the grass very much. They sit under the coop most of the time. I thought that they'd enjoy the relative freedom. No sign of foxes digging yet so the electric fence seems to be doing  it's job.
