Hi,

Can anyone personally recommend an online seed shop they have recent personal experience of? I say recent because these places can be variable. My local gardencentre is carp for seeds right now.

I know you said 'recent' and 'personal', but thought I'd better at least put in some reply to your question.

Moles seeds has been recommended to me by a fellow plot holder & also by users of this forum. The seed is excellent value (I quoted in the 'Sweetcorn' thread the sum of £2.60 for 200-400 seed). The draw back is the huge quantity some come in, so it's ideal if you can share & split costs.

Moles Seeds
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Take a look at www.seeds-by-size.co.uk There isn't a fancy web site just an enormous list of seeds. You buy them by weight so you can buy just a small amount if you want.

I use victoriana nurseries and dobies. Had absolutely no problems with any of the seeds.

I've used a lot of seed companies on-line in the past, never had any problems, but this moles and seed by size are new to me, it's a bonus, that the latter one enlightens you about no of seeds/g.

Very good value, just the amounts, as Dave says, call for sharing.

I'm happy to share, as always. :)  :)  :)

I've used dobies and they were fine.

I've never bought seeds online before so have no point of reference in that respect but I do shop online frequently as well as having a couple of e-com sites myself and I can say they know what they are doing.

Seeds by Size - excellent way to sell seeds by quantity like that but what a website! Couldn't deal with it I'm afraid.

My Spanish Roja garlic came from Dobies this morning. Recommend them highly. And postage was free I seem to remember.

I've also used www.nickys-nursery.co.uk in the past and they've been good too.
