I have borlotti and french but husband would like another bean ... we have a woodfire oven in the back garden and he has visions of cooking baked beans in it when its cooling down.   So question board beans are sowed feb to apr ... can I still get away with it or is there any other suggestion out there?!?!  if so where to buy them?

Yes you can still grow them and you should be able to pick them up from any decent garden centre.

We put broad beans in at the beginning of April and they have done very well, just ,over them into the allotment and they look super, in my badger proof cage. ( that's a new post altogether) I'll take some pics.

I put mine in on saturday. The Sutton was the variety, and the packet said they were fine for April.

I think it said Sept-Nov or Feb to April (as they are overwintering, if you chose)
