Newly Hatched Picture
« on: March 28, 2008, 07:47 »
Just had to show you all the outcome of my first ever hatch. I put in 20 eggs of different breeds into the new incubator, 4 I removed after 7 days as they were infertile. The remaining 16 went to the full 21 days. One hatched day 20, seven hatched day 21, three hatched day 22. There are still 5 eggs in the incubator and I have read that I should leave these undisturbed for another three days just in case there are any late arrivals.
I am really pleased that with everyones help on the forum and reading books and visiting sites so far everything has gone according to plan.
Thanks all of you, here are the babies.
Happiest in the countryside.
Breathe deeply, and let the butterflies fly in formation!

Its a ramakin pot so not too big, I've been checking every few hours and they seem to have got the hang of how to drink from it, none as yet have tried to sit in it, although they are sitting in the food pot, Don't they grow quickly :!:  :!:  :D  :D .
