Moving soft fruits
« on: October 30, 2013, 16:01 »
Afternoon all,
I want to move some gooseberries, blackcurrants, blueberries and rhubarb to new spots with more room.
Is it too early?
Should I wait a bit or move them while the ground is still soft?

Thanks

I think it's a bit early - they're not yet dormant.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

I agree with Yorkie - wait until leaf drop.

Yep, wait for the leaves to fall.

These are just my opinions based on what I have read, the filters my brain uses as a product of my upbringing, and the experiences I have had growing food. I am not intending to convince anyone I am right, just supply my opinion when it is asked for. I am also open to changing my opinions! Nick
