My freesias in pots have shown some decent foliage, albeit late, but there is no sign of any flowers, just leaves. Is it possible that they will be blind this year, but if left, will flower next year?

Bit early mine are just coming into bud now.  The flowers are slightly later this year.  Mine always flower same year planted.  I planted some late as well about 4 weeks ago and they are just poking through.
