French Tarragon is the best but russian is hardier  :)

It is better tasting but less hardy.
I'm going to try and overwinter mine in the greenhouse (unheated).

I feel a fleecy coat coming on later in the year. ::)

Dug up all the spuds, now to repair the raised beds they were in. :(

Dug up the remaining maincrop spuds, tidied and trimmed the toms in the greenhouse, and a bit of watering.
My parents are coming over for dinner later and to see what we've done on the plot this year, so will do a bit more when we go back.

Walked to the plot and back pushing the mower - paths cut and tidy. It's a start on my 1st Sunday off for a month.  ::)

Tomorrow, if all goes to plan, I will cycle there with the trailer and dig as many potatoes as I have time for.

Planted some lavender around the greenhouse and the apple trees. Picked stuff.

Took out some squash plants which had no female flowers and were turning a bit yellow. They were just taking up space for nothing.
Picked beans, cucumbers, tomatilloes, tomatoes, spinach, onions, summer psb.

Lots of weeding, dug up some potatoes.Tied up the French beans,I should have done it when I planted them out as I hate it when they dangle all over the ground. Came home & sorted out the greenhouse-reorganised the cucumbers & began to tie them in-remind me not to do it this late again.

I picked some fabulous Early Nantes carrots. Big, fat and perfect  :tongue2:  Didn't do any real work, just harvesting - Chioggia beets, Charlottes, coriander leaf, long red onions, chillies  :tongue2:

Just to let you know,  Aunt Sally has set up a competition...

I spotted that too BobE... more by chance than anything - well worth bringing to peoples attention. After all, while they are relaxing busy on the plot they might just as well take a few photos and stick in an entry or two.  ;)
