Hi

I have the opportunity to buy some unused Terram weed suppresser but can't find whether it is safe for growing fruit and vet with (mainly globe artichokes, strawberries and rhubarb).

Does anyone know please?

Thanks
Herbie x

Hi Herbie, yes, terram is fine.  It's a good quality weed control.  I got some 2nd hand in 2006 and have grown potatoes under it, brassicas and other things through it too, no problem!

It is still going strong, unlike the cheap stuff I've bought over the years from the likes of Wilko etc.

I think of Terram as the sort of barrier you put under paths, and woven weed suppressing membrane like mypex / zybal as the type of thing I use on the surface for plants to grow through.

Mypex doesn't "run" when cut, dunno if Terram does? but I have used the stuff on my paths as a mulch under hedges and after a couple of years it was all in bits and useless.
