Do any veggies like to be in the shade?

i have a part of my garden that gets some sunshine during the morning and then is mostly shaded for part of the day.. just wondered if any vegetables actually like being in the shade at all

lettuces and other saladini can be planted in semi-shade and under taller plants, I think?

I think squash can stand partial shade.

Spinach prefers partial shade to full sun.

thanks for this really helps as ive got a 1m square raised bed and wasn't sure if i could put anything in it! but maybe lettuce and spinach i love both so would they be ok planted half and half in the bed??

You could always throw a row of peas in too, a smaller variety like Kelvedon wonder would work well in a raised bed with both lettuce and spinach.  I have always found that peas grow just fine in the shadier areas of my garden.

A few twigs should do it just so they can climb a little
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength
