When i harvest my first earlies, can i save some to sow again for next year? Would  they store okay until next March?

It is not recommended as you do run the risk of passing on diseases.

The decision is yours, I find seed spuds cheap enough not to risk it. If you do go ahead, if stored correctly, they wll keep.

       A friend brought some seed potatoes over from the UK for me that I cant get here,
 I would like to keep some of them for planting next year, so what is the correct way to store them please.

Seed potatoes will not store until next year.

I would get them in the ground now - you will still get a crop off them. Only potatoes harvested this year will be grown next year. Seed potatoes will have been harvested last year.

 Sorry DD.  I didnt put that very well. I have planted the seed spud brought over but would like to keep some of the harvest to plant next year.

If you do decide to save your spuds, you'll need to grow them to maturity, harvest and dry them out thoroughly for a day or so.

You can do this if there's not too many on something like chicken wire slung between some supports.

Store them in hessian or paper sacks in a cool but frost free place, the darker the better.
