Up and Running at Last
« on: March 29, 2009, 17:44 »
After 3 very busy days at my lotty I just have had to share with you my progress so far.

Wasn't sure where to post this , so I've stuck it here!

I started in October with the plot looking like the one next door to mine....

Main slog finally completed today and this is what I have ended up with

I'm dead proud of myself , never grown anything before ..... fingers crossed that it all does!

Sal x

Really nice job Sal. One tip....you might want to make sure that little greenhouse unit is well tied to the fence or it will be gone in the first strong wind.

It looks brilliant Sal, well done.  Can't wait to see some updated photos in a week or two when things are popping their heads up!

Thanks for all the positive comments  :D

For those that are worried about my little greenhouse , it is well and truly tied to the fence and as we are regular campers it also has guy ropes holding it firmly in place ..... not to mention the tent pegs in the bottom!

The sun is shining here again today ..... but I have to work  >:(

If anyone was wondering why I have so much grass , it's because I have tried to make my plot disabled friendly for my dad and his wheelchair ..... hence the wider path up the middle and I intend to get some tall planters up on the lawn area so he can do a bit with a hand fork from his chair .... if he thinks he's just going to sit up there drinking tea without doing any work , he has another think coming!  :tongue2:

good idea!
sounds like he won't be able to get away with doing nothing!!
(and he can do the greenhouse too)

i'm sure the idea will be a great inspiration to anyone with a wheelchair.
