Rhubarb
« on: February 14, 2009, 19:06 »
My rhubarb has survived its first winter (I know it's not over yet!) and is poking through, however the tip of one shoot looks as if it got frost damaged in the snow, should I leave it be, or cover them with something & if so what? I don't want to force them this year as it's their first year of proper growth. Thanks - yum, rhubarb crumble (not for me of course just in case any healthy eating bods are checking up :D )

Just leave them, they will be fine.  :)  Please send me some crumble when you make it as my fee for this advice.  ;)

We usually put custard on our rhubarb so you could try that.

It's as tough as old boots, but if you want to you can just cover it to put your mind at rest.
Cheese makes everything better.
