Sorry me again. I have fruit trees in large pots but they don't seem to be thriving. Any advice?? I have various different dwarf trees apple, plum, apricot etc. or should I bite the bullet and put them into my garden?

I've never managed it and grow my fruit trees in the ground.

I don't grow fruit trees because of where I live, but to me the most dwarf rootstock is a must if you do, plus choosing the right soil and the width and depth of pot.

Apples on dwarfing rootstocks are much harder to look after than those on less / non-dwarfing rootstocks.  Much easier with a plant in the ground with a more vigorous rootstock.

Sorry, no help with your problem, but if you have a dwarfing rootstock that may be part of the problem, and if you don't (and grow in a container) that might be part of the problem
