:? We are finding 1 or 2 of our eggs broken in the hen house most days.
We collect the eggs throughout the day, but always seem to arrive too late at some point.
We have six white hens that have been laying six eggs daily for the last year.
Three weeks ago we introduced four new brown hens, these don't go in the hen house as the others keep them out.
Could it be the cockerel?
The eggs have a perfect round hole pecked in them and sometimes there is only the shell left, sometimes the egg.
Today we have had six eggs laid plus one pecked one.
This is not helping our egg sales which are going well.
Could it be the heat, we live in Spain.

Hi Heather welcome to the site,  

Egg eating is a bad habit that is difficult to stop I'm afraid, I had some success with filling a blown egg with mustard then putting it in the nest  
Other than that I don't know I'm afraid do they have enough water/ food ?
