Went into B&Q today and they have reduced loads of their packeted bulbs, tubers and onion sets to a quid each. We got phlox, Japanese anemone, asparagus, shallots and agapanthus. There were seed potatoes, dahlias, gladdies, all sorts. And a lot of them in good condition, though you have to sort through them.

Also, if anyone has a Charlies store, they have seed potatoes, a lot ready chitted (though some with long useless sprouts) eg International Kidney, Rocket, for 75p 2kg No where to put any unfortunately.

yeah i picked some stuff up on Friday but thanks for the heads up

To be honest at lunch time i often have a root round the reduced section in B&Q to see what plants i can pick up - got some £15 plants (cant remember their name at the minute) which are just sprouting into life for this season reduced to 50p!

Always have a look at the reduced rack at B & Q we got 24 pansies for 50p last week also 24 polyanthus for 50p
